糖心vlog官网 will present two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter Lynn Nottage on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022.
Nottage will give a talk at 7 p.m. in the Walton Fine Arts Center as part of the University鈥檚 2021-22 Walton Arts & Ideas Series. The event is open to the public and there is no charge for admission. Masks must be worn throughout the event.

Nottage is the first woman in history to win two Pulitzer Prizes for Drama. Nottage, whose work often deals with the lives of marginalized people, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2009 for 鈥淩uined,鈥 and again in 2017 for 鈥淪weat.鈥 She was included in Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2019.
Her plays have been produced widely in the United States and throughout the world. Her recent work includes 鈥淔濒辞测诲鈥檚鈥 and the musical adaptation of 鈥淭he Secret Life of Bees.鈥 Her plays also include, 鈥淪weat,鈥 鈥淢lima鈥檚 Tale,鈥 鈥淏y the Way,鈥 鈥淢eet Vera Stark,鈥 鈥淩uined,鈥 鈥淚ntimate Apparel,鈥 鈥淔abulation, or the Re-Education of Undine,鈥 鈥淐rumbs from the Table of Joy鈥 and 鈥淧翱翱贵!鈥 She has also developed This is Reading, a performance installation at the Franklin Street, Reading Railroad Station in Reading, PA. She was also a writer and producer on the first season of Netflix series, 鈥淪he鈥檚 Gotta Have It,鈥 directed by Spike Lee.
Nottage is an associate professor at Columbia University School of the Arts, and the recipient of a MacArthur 鈥淕enius Grant鈥 Fellowship, Steinberg 鈥淢imi鈥 Distinguished Playwright Award and the Doris Duke Artists Award, among others. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild. Among her upcoming projects are an opera adaptation of 鈥淚ntimate Apparel鈥 and the musical 鈥淢闯,鈥 featuring the music of Michael Jackson, to premiere on Broadway.
