Clarksville, Ark.--The men's tennis team defeated Austin College, 6-1, April 1 in American Southwest Conference play and improved their overall record to 5-3 and conference record to 2-2.
Picking up singles victories were Zach Schiff (6-2, 6-3), Paul Northcutt (6-4, 6-3), Kevin Edwards (6-0, 6-1) and Shane Newman (6-0, 6-1). In doubles action, the Eagles had two wins. Schiff and Edwards gained a 8-5 win and Short and Newman picked up a 8-8 (7-5) victory.
