Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles women?s tennis team had a strong showing against Hendrix College Wednesday afternoon with a 6-3 victory.

Ozarks (1-0) opened the day by winning two of three doubles matches. Chelsea Glasscock and Tara Richards defeated Hannah Smashey and Madison Schallhorn 8-5. Macie Kelley and Mollie Wilkinson defeated Caroline Kelley and Shannon Clark 8-4.

In singles play, Whitney Lewis won in the No. 1 position. At No. 3 singles, Chelsea Glasscock won 6-3, 6-1. Tara Richards and Kalli Simpson won No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

Ozarks will travel to Russellville to play in the Arkansas Tech University Golden Suns Slam October 5-6.
